Everything you need to know about organizing and competing in pickleball tournaments on BrineTime.
Getting Started
Register for a free account to get started. Once you're logged in you can browse tournaments, register as a player, or create your own event.
- Click Register in the top navigation and fill in your name, email, and a password.
- After registering you'll be logged in automatically and taken to your dashboard.
- From the dashboard you can browse tournaments, create a new one, or view your profile.
Creating a Tournament
Setting up a tournament takes just a few minutes.
- Fill in the details — name, description, date, location, format, and max players.
- Publish your tournament to make it visible to other players.
- Open registration so players can sign up. You can confirm, waitlist, or remove registrations.
- Seed players before generating brackets — seed manually or let the system assign seeds automatically.
- Generate brackets when you're ready to start. The bracket engine handles all match-ups and advancement.
Brackets & Scoring
BrineTime supports four bracket formats to fit any event:
- Single Elimination — lose once and you're out. Fast and decisive.
- Double Elimination — players get a second chance through the losers bracket.
- Round Robin — everyone plays everyone. Standings are determined by win count.
- Pool Play — players are divided into pools for round-robin group stages.
To enter scores, navigate to a match and click Enter Score. The winner advances automatically and standings update in real time.
Player Profiles
Every player has a profile that tracks their tournament history and performance.
- Win/Loss record — your overall record across all tournaments.
- Skill level — a numeric rating that updates after each match.
- Match history — view every match you've played, with scores and opponents.
Visit your profile from the dashboard or the Profile link in the navigation.
